Sprott House offers you a modern, quality range of residential facilities and aged care, including a purpose built, state of the art dementia care unit.

It was first established in 1898 as St Mary’s Guild and has been providing services to the community ever since.

The independent villas and rest home complex stand in just over 3/4 of a hectare on Messines Road, Karori, Wellington. It is surrounded by established deciduous and evergreen trees and mature gardens including roses, lavender and many other varieties of flowers and overlooks the valley with glimpses of the harbour.

Sprott House is located in the residential heart of Karori, just a few minutes from Marsden Village, the Karori Mall and 10 minutes from the centre of the city. It is well situated for shopping and is within walking distance to nearby cafes.

We offer a warm, caring and secure environment for residents and provides a home away from home when total independence is no longer an option and aged care is needed.

Our aged care services of independent living, hospital, rest home and dementia care are provided through four separate facilities.

We believe you should remain as independent as possible and have developed our facilities based on this philosophy. The latest development was the launch of our state of the art specially designed modern dementia unit, the first of its kind in New Zealand.

We also place great emphasis on high quality and well trained staff and have a centre for staff training which is also available for hire for functions or a training venue.
